2004 WAS A GOOD YEAR!
2004: A Four-Part Series
Part 3:
It was 2004, I was the mom of three; I thought I was done having babies, but #4 was on the way! The baby of Evans Clan would arrive 03/29/04
SHE'S H.E.R.E.
HALEY ELIZABETH ROSE EVANS
Haley at about 6 weeks old
At this point in my life, I'm a seasoned mother. Haley was born four years after Jaedyn so needless to say, we were not expecting another little one, but welcomed her with open arms. If I had to describe Haley in one word, that word would be BRAVE. Haley has such a fearless spirit and will tackle any challenge that comes her way.
You can't speak Haley's name without including the word CHEERLEADER. Haley cheered from the age of 4 and a half until her sophomore year in high school.
Here's an older post with some of her early years in Cheer
This pic of Haley make my heart so full. This pic was taken AFTER a long journey with Alopecia. This BRAVE young lady experienced something in her life at the age of 8 that could have changed her outlook on life and ruined her self esteem; but not on my watch!
Check out this BLOG POST HERE to learn all about her journey.

Haley is so talented and she is such a sensitive and caring person. This year is Haley's 17th birthday; she's entering her final year of high School in the Fall. I'm not sure if I'm ready for my baby to step out into this cruel world with a heart as big as hers. She cries during movies, she has empathy for others, and when strangers are on the street hungry, she insists that we find money in our wallets or in the car stash to give to them. While there are so many who do this, they do with the ability to switch it up real quick if necessary. Not Haley. She's kind and empathetic to a fault. While that sounds crazy, it's not really crazy. You have to have a fair amount of "bite" to survive in this cruel world. So when I think of her graduating high school and heading off to college, I just want to put my baby in a bubble, and keep her heart protected.
Here are some of my favorite shots of Haley...
As you can see, Haley is very photogenic and loves to take pictures. She enjoys social media; often introducing the family to apps like Musically, Snap Chat, Instagram, TikTok, etc,
Haley is also an amazing acrobatic tumbler. However, the last year has proven to be challenging as many gyms closed their doors, and COVID-19 changed how we all played sports, worked, and enjoyed life; everything was different and practically non-existent.
Haley spent her 16th birthday in quarantine and she handled that better than some adults. There were adults insisting on celebrating their birthday in the midst of a pandemic and my 16 year old daughter was sad but she knew why she could not, and understood the importance of not celebrating or going out. She understood that there would be other birthdays. Here we are again, one year later and Haley is still limited on what she can do. She's another year older, more mature, and is celebrating her birthday the way she wants. She made some special requests and of course we made them all happen.
Haley is such a joy to be around and she is definitely a daddy's girl. She's the baby of the family and she has everyone wrapped around her finger. Everyone wants to make sure Haley is good.
Her big brother spoils her to death. He's driving down to pick her up in a few weeks so she can spend more time with him.
Her big sister Prettie often jokes that Haley is her child because she's always doing and buying something for her.
He big sister Jaedyn is also looking out for Haley often. Since Jaedyn recently moved out, Haley has no one to share her room with anymore and Jaedyn stops by bringing her goodies often.
For the first time ever, I'm trying to convince a child of mine to stay close to home when deciding on colleges, but Haley is not having it. She is ready (she thinks she's ready) to be out on her own. Lord pray for me that I do not relocate to whatever state my child is attending school in! LOL
